Terms of Service
Draft — not yet in effect.
Draft. This page is incomplete and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Sections marked TODO are unwritten. It does not currently form an agreement between you and Pedium. Questions: [email protected].
Who this is for
Pedium is for a parent or legal guardian monitoring a child's device with that child's knowledge. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must have the legal authority to consent on behalf of any child whose device you register.
Pedium is not for monitoring adults who have not agreed to it, employees, or partners. Using it that way may be illegal where you live, and it is against these terms.
What Pedium does and does not do
Pedium reports and summarises activity on devices you register. It does not block sites or apps, lock devices, or apply punishments, and it is not a filtering or parental-control product.
Safety alerts are generated by an AI classifier. They are informational and imperfect: they will sometimes flag something harmless and sometimes miss something that matters. Pedium is not a safety system, a supervision substitute, or an emergency service.
Consent and transparency
Every monitored device shows the person using it what is being collected. You agree not to attempt to conceal Pedium from the person whose device it runs on, and not to circumvent the transparency features.
You are responsible for having the conversation with your child. Pedium provides the visibility; it does not provide the consent.
Your account
You are responsible for your credentials and for anyone you invite into your family group. Roles you grant — including professional or viewer access — let other people see your child's activity.
You can export or delete your data at any time. See /account-deletion.
TODO — Service availability and changes
TODO: uptime commitments (if any), the right to change or discontinue features, and how much notice is given.
TODO — Fees, billing and refunds
TODO: pricing, billing cycle, trial terms, cancellation, refunds, and what happens to data when a subscription lapses. Nothing here yet because Pedium has not launched paid plans.
TODO — Warranties and limitation of liability
TODO: needs legal review. This is the clause that matters most and the one most dangerous to guess at, particularly given the safety-adjacent nature of alerts.
TODO — Governing law and disputes
TODO: jurisdiction, governing law, and dispute resolution. Depends on where the operating entity is established.
